Description – Medium-sized trees with glabrous branchlets. Leaves lanceolate, cuneate at base. Flowers white, in terminal branched cymes.

Chemical Constituents- Flowers contain demethoxy matteucinol. Fruits contain ketones, hydrocarons, oxides, acetates, aldehydes, esters, alcohols, acids. Essential oil yields ocimene, -pinene, (+)camphene, (-)limonene, cadinene, (+)borneol and alpha-terpineol
