Botanical name – Chenopodium ambrosioides

Description – Aromatic, erect, much branched herbs. Leaves glandular. Flowers minute, in paniculate leafy spikes.

Chemical Constituents- Plant contains triterpene glycosides Chenopodosides A and B, essential oil containing mainly ascaridole and limonene. Roots and other parts contain saponin. Fruits contain flavonol glycosides, kaempferol, isorhamnetin, quercetin

Use – Oil used as an anthelmintic against any form of intestinal parasite including round worms, hook worms and intestinal amoebae
