Description – Nymphaea Stellata,is a large perennial aquatic herb, with short, erect, roundish rhizome. Leaves peltate, floating, dentate with a narrow sinus, glabrous on both surfaces. Solitary flowers, varying from pure white to deep red. Fruit globular ,seeds longitudinally striate

Chemical Constituents-

Use – Entire plant s used as a soothing agent, used in medicines which are used as antacids, tonics for pregnant ladies, brain stimulent. They possess astringent and sedative properties, and contain alkaloids.
