Name – पृश्निपर्णी

Botanical name – Uraria picta

Description – Suffruticose herbs; stems stout with hooked hairs. Leaves imparipinnate; leaflets linear-oblong. Flowers in fascicles along the rhachis of spicate cylindric racemes. Pod glabrous, joints 3 – 6.

Chemical Constituents-

Use – Decoction of root given in coughs, chills and fevers. Roots and pods used in the treatment of prolapse of anus in infants; pods also used in sore mouth.
