Siddha/Tamil Manjakadambu. Folk Haladu, Kheta Kadam.
Action Antibacterial, antiseptic, antidysenteric, antibilious (used in biiary colic), febrifuge. Root— astringent.
The heartwood contains indole alkaloids; bark 7.27—9.27% tannin. The leaves contain ursolic acid and querce
tin.
