Action _ Fruit—antibilious. Seed—

diuretic. Fruit and bark—febrifuge.

The bark contains latex

of which consists of gutta-percha-like

substance); also contains tannin

. The seeds contain quercitol.

Chewing gum consists of approximately

chicle, plus sugar, corn

syrup and flavourings.
